Vahram Davtian

Armenian surrealist artist Vahram Davtian was born in 1961 in Vanadzor, the third-largest city in Armenia. He graduated from Yerevan Fine Art Institute and the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia. Vahram Davtian is an artist who moves between magical realism and the absurd, and this is his philosophical conception of the Renaissance. He works using the method of multi-layered painting, the very same that was used by the Old Masters. The world he has created with his imagination lies beyond time and space. And it is impossible to determine either the time of day in them or the season and only the artist has a key to it.
